Europeana empowers the cultural heritage sector in its digital transformation. They develop expertise, tools, and policies to embrace digital change and encourage partnerships that foster innovation. Europeana makes it easier for people to use cultural heritage for education, research, creation, and recreation. Their work contributes to an open, knowledgeable, and creative society. Europeana is at the heart of the common European data space for cultural heritage, a flagship initiative of the European Union to support the digital transformation of the cultural heritage sector.

Europeana is made possible by the collaboration of the Europeana Foundation, the Europeana Network Association, and the Aggregator’s Forum. EUscreen is a trusted Europeana aggregation partner. We support our network members in providing their audiovisual content directly to Europeana and help them curate collections on the EUscreen portal.

Currently, the EUscreen collection features 60,000 items of high-quality, enriched, and curated audiovisual content and metadata. As an expert hub and audiovisual aggregator, EUscreen also regularly aggregates and updates a critical mass of audiovisual content and data to Europeana – contributing to a rich and diverse portrait of European heritage alongside millions of other items of museum, gallery, and library content.
